Convert a credit-card CSV to QFX and check signs

Choose credit-card output, review payments and refunds, and keep one currency per QFX statement.

Use transaction activity

Remove minimum-payment notices, statement totals and credit limits. These are not transaction rows. The description and amount of each charge, refund and payment must remain on one row. Set the account type to credit card so the output uses the credit-card OFX statement container.

Check a known purchase

Some card exports show purchases as positive debt; some show them as negative cash activity. QFX consumers commonly treat a charge as a debit. Compare one known charge and one payment with the target application’s expectations. Reverse all signed amounts when required; split debit/credit columns are normalized as credit minus debit.

Enter the actual card balance

A credit-card balance may use the opposite sign from a printed positive amount owed. Confirm the balance convention in the importing application and keep transactions consistent with it. Do not simply make the total agree by changing a payment. Review every transaction in the free preview first.

Understand QFX identity requirements

The QFX output carries user-entered institution identifiers and deterministic transaction IDs. This does not enroll a bank with Quicken, activate a service, or bypass software support restrictions. Use a backup before import. If the institution is rejected, consult your importer and bank rather than guessing another identifier.
